One of my favourite meals


Yesterday we had what is probably one of my most favourite meals.

Roast pork, with crackle
Apple Sauce
Potatoe Dumplings
Sauerkraut
Gravy...........
Just heaven.

what exactly is a potato dumpling?

Poody, instead of just being made with flour and water - you grate potato and then squeeze out the excess moisture before mixing flour and then cooking in boiling hot water. It's like say gnocchi, or homemade potato gnocchi......much nicer consistency than just flour. I have always loved them - they are heavy and stick in your tummy like lead and work well with the gravy.
